Norwegian oat waffles

Oat waffles are quick easy and quite healthy

  • blender or handheld mixer
  • Bowl
  • measure cup
  • waffle iron
  • cooling rack


  • 100 gr Oats
  • 50 gr Spelt flour
  • 4 medium Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Melted butter
  • 1 Banana
  • 1,5 dl Milk
  • 1 tsp Salt


  • Measure all ingredients into a mixing bowl
  • Run the batter smooth with a handheld mixer
  • Fill the iron from the center with about 1 dl of batter, depending on the size of your iron
  • Fry the batter until the waffles are slightly brown
  • Have the jam ready so you can enjoy the waffles warm


If you prefer the crunch from whole rolled oats, add them at the end of mixing only stiring them in with a spoon.
