Start by washing the lemons in cold water.
Then grab a peeler and grate off the lemon zest. I usually aim for long peels, these will be used for decor only so don't bother if you can't get them too long.
Grab a kettle and heat up the water until it is boiling. Add sugar and whisk it in until the sugar is completely dissolved in the water.
Now grab those peeled lemons and squeeze out the juice, discard the rest of the lemons and strain the lemon juice.
Add the lemon juice into the syrup and give it a stir. Now you have lemonade syrup.
Pour all the goodness over a jar that I have filled with the lemon zests and ice.
Top off with water if necessary.
